Egypt’s Education Ministry Launches School Football League for 2026/2027

Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education has instructed educational directorates to begin preparations for the 2026/2027 School Football League for male students in preparatory and secondary schools.

The initiative aims to identify and support promising young athletes, encourage physical activity and strengthen the role of schools in developing students’ sporting abilities.

According to the ministry’s circular, team announcements and registration are scheduled for October 18–22, 2026. The first round of classroom competitions within schools is scheduled to take place from October 25–29, 2026.

The ministry also instructed educational directorates to coordinate with physical education officials and ensure that all schools receive the necessary guidance to implement the competition according to the announced timetable.

The initiative seeks to expand student participation in sports, nurture athletic talent and promote healthy competition across schools.
